Yes, Santa’s little replicas come to the hospital to get spiffied up for the holidays. This year, they literally were little! I thought I’d feature two very different ones here.
The first came from Virginia and was close to 60 years old! His person didn’t want him changed, but was starting to worry about him holding up in the future. He was about 6" tall. Here he is on arrival:
As you can see, Santa needed some seams repaired. He also needed some stuffing, and a bit of his paint touched up. Upon consultation, his person and I agreed to recover his white bits, and the red on his hat, but leave his red jumpsuit mostly as it was.
Here he is as he got ready to head home:
Now safely home, his people say “He looks great!”
The second Santa was much younger, but he had a run-in with a dog and needed a full face transplant! Here he is on arrival:
And here he is headed home:
He went home to Florida in time for Thanksgiving. His people said: “He looks fantastic!” They also wrote “Our dog also got excited to see Santa again…:) but Santa was not excited to see her torturer.“
It’s 80s flashback week here at the hospital, where a Cabbage Patch Kid came in for a spa and fashion fix, and a pot belly bear who was rescued from the trash came in for a spa, eye transplant, rhinoplasty and general rejuvenation.
Here is the Cabbage Patch Kid, Wanda, upon arrival. She smelled very musty, and her clothes were worse.
And here she is, all clean (wish there was scratch and sniff) and in her clean clothes:
The pot belly bear is an all visual transformation. Here he is on arrival:
And here he is ready to go home:
And, just to date myself, here’s my pot belly bear, a koala. 🙂
So anyone else here seen “The Mist”? All I could think of when I saw this…
This is so cool can someone explain the scientific phenomena behind this?
Just checked, this is a shelf cloud, a type of arcus cloud that usually signals the coming of severe weather. This is actually fairly normal behavior for shelf clouds, I think it’s just that the video is really close to the squall so it looks extremely ominous.
